Meet our family!

We’re glad that you are here and we would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to a few members of our family.

First and foremost, we want to introduce you to our oldest brother. He’s undoubtedly different from anyone you have ever met before.  Though you may not understand this at first, He was, He is, and He will be!  We realize that this a strange saying and may be hard to digest at first but please bear with us?  We’ve often been surrounded by bullies who picked on us and just when it looked as though we were going to take a good beating, He would show up just in time and rescue us. One of our other brothers taught us a saying that we try to remember when we get in trouble “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”  We’ve tried this and our oldest brother has always and will always come through.  Though it may not be when we want or think that He should yet we can truthfully say that He is always right on time!

One of our other brothers, Paul by name has done passed on.  Before he crossed over he wrote down a few things and instructed us to keep them in mind.  He was younger than the first brother we told you about and unlike our oldest brother; Paul is no longer around so that we can call on him for help.  We think that somehow he knew that he wouldn’t going to be around all that long and that’s why he left so many clear and valuable instructions. I remember him saying “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” I use to run around and say “faith is the substance of things hope for” but my oldest brother corrected me to what Paul had said and made sure that I remembered to put the “Now” at the start of his instructions.  The reason that this is so important is that faith is needed “Now”.  We’ve ran into those who say they used to have it.  We’ve also heard those that say they are going to get some faith later at a more convenient season but that is not what my brother said.  He said “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for”.  That means right now, not in the past and not in the future but right now.

Paul loved to write and was very talented.  His writings are still of the greatest importance to all members of our family.  Though he’s been gone a while and though his writings have been around for a while, his instructions are timeless. He loved to use the word “now”.  I remember him encouraging us by saying, “now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.”  And then again on yet another occasion he teaches, “now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”

Paul wanted us to understand just as we want you to understand that “now” is the accepted time and “now” is the day of salvation and also “now” faith is the substance of things hoped for. Paul left us much guidance to encourage us ensuring that we understand our oldest brother is able to help us in every situation.  We’ve tried this and found it to be true.

Now let us tell you of our Father!  When you read this and look around, everything that your eyes behold, He made.  That’s right, everything you’ve ever seen including the mountains and the sea.  He made the things you don’t see such as the air you breathe and the wind you feel. He’s the best craftsman there could ever be.  We know that it is common for children to brag on the abilities of their father but none other can do the things that our Father can.

Just this instance, at this present time, or if you had rather, “now” if you will call on our oldest brother’s name, He can and will help you!  Our oldest brother has a most wonderful name.  In fact, some of our other brothers have said that it is the sweetest name they knew and we have to agree with them. He has many nick names as some called Him Immanuel, still others called Him Wonderful, Counselor, Prince of Peace, and Almighty God. Mary, she called him Jesus but we still call Him Lord!

His relationship is such with our Father that whatever He asks Him will be done, end of story.  If you have burdens, if there is trouble in your life, if you have tried everything this world has to offer looking for peace, we have some good news for you.  If you don’t feel as though you belong anywhere or if you feel that you have no family, or no one to care for you, we have something wonderful to tell you.  You can be a member of our family!  Our Father can be your Father and our oldest brother can be your oldest brother.  There’s another member of our family that we haven’t told you about but we suspect that He is close by while you read this.  This world commonly distorts Him and never gives Him the credit He deserves but like our Father and our oldest brother, He ever abides and is close to each and every one of us.  He has kept us company many be the time when it seemed that every one else had forsaken us.

We want you to join our family but we cannot go any farther. The other family member must take over from here for He is the only one who has the authority to invite you into our family and His name is “God the Holy Ghost.”  Do not be afraid of Him but rather be quiet and listen to what He has to say.  Please deal kindly and truly with Him for He already knows all about you.

Once you are a member of our family, drop us a line and tell us what wonderful things our Father, Brother and the Holy Ghost has done for you!
