1977 Takamine 12 String  F385

Serial No. 77111047

I bought this guitar when I was looking for a fuller sound as Joseph and I were supplying the only music in our live performances.  Since purchasing  a bouzouki, I found the sound that I was looking for and really have no need for the 12 string anymore.  This guitar has the headstock similar to the Martin style as was the Takamine norm before changing to the current headstock style.  This is a very good bargain at $400.

Goldtone Banjola

Again I was searching for a new sound for our group.  This is a wonderful instrument in mint condition.  It combines a mandola body with a 5-string banjo neck to give a harp/dulcimer type sound.  It does not have much volume thus I had a Barcus-Berry Insider pick-up installed.  You simply plug your 1/4" cable into the end pin and pick away! It also has railroad spikes installed so there is no need for the 5th string capo. You can find all the specifications at http://www.goldtone.com/products/details/w/instrument/80/Banjola

Banjola and pick-up can be yours for $500

Old World Classic Fiddle from Gianna Violins of Friendsville Tennessee

Ok, this is an ego-buster.  I got in my head that if I purchased a high-end violin that it would make me sound better, wrong.  I might as well admit it, dobro-yes, banjo-yes, mandolin-of course, guitar-for sure, fiddle-give it up!  Anyway, I paid $1200 for this nice outfit, you can check out Steve Perry's website from the link below but I'll sacrifice this one for $900!

Fiddle handmade in Georgia

As already explained, I'm giving up on the fiddle and leaving it to the real fiddlers!  This fiddle was handmade here in Georgia by luthier Tim Dockery.  The wood used to make this fiddle is well over 100 years old and came with his grandfather when they moved to Georgia from North Carolina.  It is larger than a 3/4 but slightly smaller than a full size.  It has an excellent tone and is more affordable than the Gianna fiddle listed above.  You can own this one for $250 and I'll throw in a hard shell case and bow!  What a bargain!

Palatino VE-500 Upright Electric Bass

This is an almost new instrument that Joseph barely played.  I thought he would enjoy it but he is just to traditional to leave his 1958 Kay bass.  This bass has a hollow sound chamber that gives it the acoustic sound.  It's much smaller and easier to carry and play than a traditional upright bass. The cheapest that I've saw one recently is $679 on the web.  It has one little scratch at the bottom (see 3rd photo) don't look for it to last long as I had to get on a waiting list to get this one and am only asking $500.

Upright Bass (Devilli) Chinese Made $350

This is Joseph's first bass.  It served him well and he still loves to play it.  Of all the basses he has owned, until he got the 58 Kay, he always went back to this one.  The joint at the neck has a small gap in it but I've seen this happen before and the basses still hold tune and need no other work.  This one does not have a bag and has some dings. But again, that's why we are only asking $350 for it. (Sorry, this item has been sold)

Ovation Celebrity Acoustic Electric Bass

I've had this one for a while.  It is the full body Ovation with built in pickup and eq.  It is jet black and a nice looking instrument.  It comes with the original hard shell case and I will let it go for $250.
